If that "Jungle Book" movie doesn't yet get announced to be released in summer by the end of this month soon, maybe the release date for it will have to be between June and September?
Besides, there was a Movie Club Limited Edition/Exclusive of that film from last year if you ask me. Last edited by CoolZDane; 04-23-2020 at 02:45 PM. |

So, first off, the first movie that had a Movie Club limited release before being a Signature edition is "101 Dalmatians (1961)", as in the Movie Club limited release got released in November 2018, and the Signature edition got released in September last year.
As for "The Jungle Book (1967)", that's the 2nd film to have a Movie Club limited release (released in March one year ago) before being a Signature Edition. As you know, maybe that limited release of "The Jungle Book (1967)" was exclusive until the last week of September, so was "101 Dalmatians (1961)", am I right? I don't think so either, Sleeping Beauty arguably the most beautifully animated film in Disney history got re-released in September but not in 4K, so I doubt The Jungle Book would either. If it does get a Signature Edition release, I personally am hoping that there would be a way to watch it in it's 4x3 aspect ratio, but I'm not counting on it.

Beauty and the Beast was released on 4K in March. It counts as a spot. The same thing with The Lion King being released on 5K, that’s why nothing new came in December 2018. I saw Disney's next 2 releases on Blu-Ray.com's release calendar; Home Alone and Hocus Pocus on 4K. When those come out, they might have a trailer of The Jungle Book coming to the Signature Collection. Hell, they might even put Fantasia too.

And you know something, this might be the 2nd year not to have a Signature release in June/Summer after 2016, right? BTW, you mean "The Lion King 4K" instead of "5K"? |
