I have a ps3 and a yamaha v661(crackinheadz please help).The question I have is if the receiver just passes the audio through(untouch I hope)will it be almost the same as the receiver doing the decoding.Please someone help because I have to buy my son and mother(don't ask) a blu ray player or receiver in the morning.

not sure I understand the question...

But with the PS3 and Yamaha RX-V661, you can hear 7.1 Uncompressed PCM as well as 5.1 Dolby TrueHD.

Does that help answer or are you asking something different?

What I'm asking is with all the dts... what ever if you have a good receiver will it still have almost the same audio(because i brought them all a v661)as a high end receiver(hopefully sony decodes dts-ma).

well, hopefully the PS3 will decode Dts-HD Master sometime soon...as far as quality it should be the same.

Either way...

PS3 + Yamaha RX-V661 is a killer combination.

There was a lot of friends and family that didn't know which way to go.I found this site by google.I joined and the first question i asked about the recever i had you and another member(I think her name started Deci...I can't remember the rest) i ask helped me.I usually just surf through forums and when friends were over they would ask Where"s the Crack guy(lol).They really took what you said as law.
