Great news. The DVDs looked rough the last time I went through them, so hoping they can be improved on. If Spaced can make Blu-ray, why not The I.T. Crowd (the last UK sitcom worth a damn) or The Inbetweeners

it looked good on C4HD last month or whenever it was they showed the show back to back, obviously not native HD good but it didn't look as bad as the upscaled 2005 doctor who blu-rays

Even if there isn't much of an uptick in visual quality, I still want the series on Blu so I can slot it into my "Edgar Wright" section.

I'll be getting it. I can't even remember where my DVDs are at this point.

Hope they port over the extras from the CE, and some new ones would be nice!

Always worth pointing out when something's been shot on tape though as the question inevitably comes up.

I remember him stating pretty unequivocally a few years ago that there was no point in a Blu-ray release and it wouldn't happen. I understand the limitations and so on, but to have a more stable, durable format to house the series would be great.
