Default What would you change/improve on with Star Wars Movies?

This is really for ALL Star Wars movies, including but not limited to the OT, PT, ST, Rogue One and Solo. What would you fix to make it good for you?

For me personally, I'd prefer The Force Awakens to have better pacing and reveal Luke early in the film, although I still enjoy the movie for what it is.

Nothing wrong at all with Lucas' films. The ST, however, whew boy. Consistency and coherence are two things those films are seriously lacking. And a personality.

Make more standalone adventure stories, don't be so beholden to existing characters and stories.

We've had 5 new Star Wars movies but none of them have embraced the potential of the universe.

Having someone looking over Lucas' shoulder when he started writing about Jar Jar Binks, Midi-chlorian, and most of the dialogue in Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

For this site, less Star Wars threads.

No more Skywalkers or Solos or anything else we've seen. Either jump a hundred years forward or go Old Republic.

Have a plan and stick to it. **** fan blacklash. The Rise of Skywalker is a disgrace because of the obvious course correction. When you try to please everyone you please no one.

Cast American actors. The four OT leads - Ford, Fisher, Hamill and Williams all American. The same can't be said of other films. Solo came close, but no actresses...

Prequel Trilogy:
- don't really care about it. It was disappointing as a whole and I'm over it.

Original Trilogy:
- roll back most of Lucas' numerous revisionist alterrations, especially in ROTJ

Sequel Trilogy:
- Disney should have grown some balls and put a true visionary artist in charge, instead of someone who imo mostly saw the SW franchise as a business opportunity.

- I would have loved to see what someone like Guillermo del Toro could have created for a 3 film storyline arc. Disney could have picked him up after his involvement in The Hobbit fell apart.

Wipe the Disney films out from existence and the saga is significantly stronger.

Feel the same way.

Anthology films are a mixed bag so far, Rogue One was fun even if it had a bit too much fan service, Solo wasn't as much fun as it should have been, change the characters and it becomes a completely generic space adventure without any personality of its own.

If talking about changing existing films -

Max Von Sydow should have been a jedi. The chance to hear him speak about the force mysticism was a big missed opportunity...

Recast all of Rogue One save Mendelsohn and Donnie..Keep/give Jones a sense of humor...

Solo and Chewie should have met as original canon, Han was The Empire's "Captain Kirk" and threw it all away to save Chewie from slavers...not an outcast wrestling Chewie in a mud pit

For this site, less Star Wars threads.

Another person who thinks they know better than George lol. I am a life long fan and I love the OT more than most people on this earth and the acting and dialogue complaint I find laugable. The acting and dialogue in the OT was the same. I love Mark to death grew up wanting to be like Luke, Hayden did a fine job with his portrayal as Anakin. The problem is not with the story or the delivery the problem is the viewer. Star Wars is FUN! People forgot that. People forgot what movies were meant for. In this miserable state the world is in we need to learn how to enjoy life again, because this is no kind of existance for anybody!
