Lando Calrissian series with Donald Glover - Disney+ - Blu-ray Forum

Kessel Run Transmissions, the same podcast that broke the news of The Bad Batch series, has said Disney+ is working on a Lando Calrissian series starring Donald Glover.

It would be fun if they used some of the content from Lester Neil Smith's Lando spin-off trilogy published ages ago, they were fun works.

Glover was a great casting choice for the character.

Glover's Lando was a lot of fun. There's so much possibility in a young Lando series, and it would be a great way to introduce a canonically queer character into the Star Wars canon with more devlopment than the half-hearted attempt in TROS. With as many adventures as he had, it would be easy to tie it in to Rogue One or the Cassian series without messing with the established lore.

Is this Disney's way of pinning the blame for Solo on Ehrenreich.....?

I hope they don't persue turning the ladies man into a lady man. They should create a new character it they want to do that.

Even though Solo sucked Ill give Glover credit for doing a great job in his role. But, um... do we need a Lando series? OKee Dokee.

Glover is a talented actor, but he simply did a Lando impression. I didn't buy that this was a younger version of the character. If he does get a series, I hope that it's better.

Interesting. I wonder if this will follow up Billy Dee and that lady from the end of Rise of Skywalker, or showcase more of young Lando via Donald Glover. It would be pretty cool if they did both.

Meh. I don’t know... lando is fine as a secondary character... but do I care enough about him to watch a show entirely focused on him? Nah.

This goes for both the billy dee and glover versions.

A Lando dedicated series? No thanks. Just about as pointless as a series dedicated to Cassian Andor. There are so many other ideas Disney could be doing and they're wasting their resources on this? Wow.
