Question Tales From The Crypt Blu-ray?

I was hoping it would be released by now, but it looks like it might not happen. However, while searching, I came across a site that claims to sell it. I've never heard of them before, just wondering if this is legit or should I stay away?

I’d be suspect since the series was never transferred to HD. Not only that but it advertises the entire series on only 5 discs? Yeah I wouldn’t invest in this, sounds like a Wish-esque scam to me

There appears to be some type of “rights issue” with TFTC. That’s why the series is only available on dvd and not Blu, HBO, or HBO Max, hopefully they can clear the issues up and release them on blu.

It looks very likely that this would be standard definition. Although quite uncommon, I've seen a few such releases through legitimate avenues, like Eagle Rock Entertainment. Basically, an SD Blu-ray. I just don't see any possible way that that much content could fit on that many discs otherwise. They probably want you to believe that it is HD, but will probably accuse you of not considering the feasibility of such should you later complain. Not quite a bait and switch, but...

I bought that exact set. It's terrible. I have the legit DVD set also. You're better off getting that. At least it has the real artwork and a box slip. The disks on this sometimes have issues with playback. I think there's too much data on the disk. Sometimes chapters don't work or the picture freezes but audio continues . I think there was an official "Blu" release overseas but again it is all in standard definition. So only benefit is less disks
