Said this before and i'll say it again. It's a matter of time now when a small team of people numbering even a dozen make a massive hit with the look, polish and so on of a AAA that's typically costing $100+ million for less than maybe a few hundred thousand at most if jot simply tens of thousands.
There's a LOT that i loved about that video and it shows a very strong take on gameplay. Hell, it looked even more polished than Marvel's Avengers game and this is made by like one person. GTFO here Square! There's a few weak areas if i had to nitpick and those could hopefully be addressed as its extremely early footage as the video says but likely to also be a cause of having to stitch so many assets from 3rd party libraries into one place such as UE4. I think the level og quality though seen assuming it doesn't require a massively powerful PC, that's already putting some 3rd party AAA releases this gen to shame. |

The Lost Soul Aside trailer was made by one person, also Chinese I believe. and it put a lot of AAA games to shame. the full game is now being developed by a team of 14 devs
You mean Crystal Dynamics |

One person with talent in a variety of skills can do a lot when creating a game, movie or music project, so I'm not surprised when a small team delivers stuff that is good entertainment in video games.
CD Projekt Red used to be a small team as well before they made Witcher 3. Their first game, Witcher, started with 15 people and then grew to 100 and was released in 2007. [Show spoiler] I wonder how large this game's map is. |

I am definitely impressed by it in many ways, but at the same time. It's brute forcing a lot of things too. For consoles in particular it's a juggling act and if this will be released on PS5/Series X, the optimisation will make or break it imo.

I never imagined 60 frames per second would be such a difference in camera smoothness as it is, but it's a great thing after all. I can still go back and play 30 fps games with the choppy camera movements, as the scenery tries to keep up, but 60 fps rules. Yeah, it's photorealistic at times with the backgrounds. I guess this is based on the Monkey King theme. It's resembling the makings of a tough Bloodborne/Demon's Soul type big boss battle type game so far, but I'll consider it for sure. Blocking and timing are the main keys to defeating most of these bosses that take 100 hits to kill. |

Really looking forward to this. Only thing I don't like are the monkey character designs because hey, monkeys are ****in' ugly as hell, let's be real, and the music can be super generic but obviously I can understand why they're probably sourcing from a music library.
