Default UK OOP BD thread

There’s already a US thread, so I figured it would be a good idea to start a UK thread. I think this should be more for studio and general releases, rather than just boutiques which will be covered in their own threads. It can also include titles that appear to be OOP but aren’t confirmed - and I’d say more recent ones than ones that have been OOP for years. Also no limited editions, or titles that have replaced an older release with a better version and left nothing behind in the process.

Sometimes, entire library distribution deals disappear (e.g. Miramax with StudioCanal and Lionsgate), or distributors go bust e.g. Metrodome and Revolver.

This is the US thread:

Mixed feelings about the titles in the OP. I do have some of them, but missed out on others.

Owned:

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (OOP steelbook disc)
Amadeus
Bubba Ho-Tep
Once Upon a Time in America (both versions)
The Getaway
In the Realm of the Senses
Empire of Passion
Taking Off
An Affair to Remember
Death Watch
How Green Was My Valley
The Martian EE
Saturday Night Fever

Missed out on:

Dark City
Batman: The Movie (had in my basket on HMV.com recently but didn't pull the trigger, regret it now)
Blue Thunder (might get picked up by a boutique label at some point, I imagine)
Menace II Society (I owned this years ago but didn't love the film so sold it on, regret that now!!)
Pandora and the Flying Dutchman (dodgy PQ anyway, hoping Eureka/Indicator/BFI get the new restoration soon)
Black Rain (hoping someone picks this up from Paramount)
Rolling Thunder (a title that has alluded me for years, despite my best efforts)
Boudu Saved From Drowning (ditto)
Control (didn't even realise was OOP)
Snowtown (never got hold of it, so still never seen it)
Romancing the Stone (like Batman it was 2.99 at HMV recently but I missed it, just)
The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (got the Demy set from Criterion, so not bothered anymore)
Say Anything (also missed at HMV)
StageFright (thought I bought this years ago but maybe not, can't remember why)

+Unforgiven 2013 WB sb

Never say never again.

There are a few Clint Eastwood films bd releases as well but they’re included in that big box set without a single film Bd re-release.

A Bronx Tale SC bd

Haha same with me! I really must watch it again soon to remind me that it's a masterpiece!
I decided not to wait any longer and got the German version, do the same, the disc is identical. The artwork is pityful either way, IMO.

By the way, the list above in the OP is quite short. Is it just a first stab?

I think this has been released on a French disc from Pathe with English subtitles. Thankfully, most of the Park Circus titles have been upgraded, e.g. the Chaplins, some Indicators, Bent in the US.

It looks like both series releases of the X-Files are now out of print (Collectors 1-9 + Complete 1-11). Though you can still purchase the movies and the two most recent seasons individually.

Missed out on "How green was my valley" when very cheap in Hmv. Park Circus is an obsolete label now?, at least not seen any recent blu rays.

Got a few of those. I picked up Control in the Land of Pound not too long ago for my brother.
