Koch Media are releasing a complete series box set of Miami Vice (1984-1989) on 1 October 2020.

Note: Initial information that suggested this release would use new 4K masters was later found to be false.

This is breaking news in Germany right now, so details are scarce, but apparently, all 111 episodes have been remastered in 4K resolution for the first time, and will be spread over 35 discs. The "unabridged" term likely refers to Germany, where apparently, several episodes have only been available in cut versions.

Also, I forgot to mention that this release will be exclusive to the forthcoming Koch Media Home Entertainment online shop, which will open on 1 October 2020. NUnfortunately, I have no idea if they will ship internationally, yet.

The new Koch Media Home Entertainment online shop will be launched on October 1, 2020. At the opening, potential buyers are attracted directly with a special publication. From the said date, a complete box with all five seasons of the cult series "Miami Vice" (USA 1984-1989) will be available exclusively. The set contains a total of 111 episodes on 35 Blu-rays. The episodes appear for the first time completely uncut and restored in 4K. The bonus material includes several cut and dubbed versions, interviews, featurettes and picture galleries. The sound formats are in the DTS-HD master audio format.

The database of bluray-disc.de says 1:33:1

Not true. In fact almost all of their releases have english subtitles. Just take at look at the caps results, all of them have english subtitles listed.

okay that movie I don't have. I have about 60 Movies and some TV Series from Koch Films, no english subs. German Online

Shame they're not releasing it *in* 4K but I do of course realise that a 35-disc UHD set would have an astronomical price tag (though the cost of newly transferring five seasons of TV in 4K is itself astronomical, did Universal do it (which is an interesting development if so) or have Koch undertaken it themselves?). Very tempted nonetheless but no English mono is something of a deal breaker.
