All of Me and Pennies From Heaven desperately need a Blu Ray release. Especially All of Me, since that one didn’t even get a decent DVD - just a horrible, muddy fullscreen release.

Hopefully Pennies will be coming from WAC soon.

I like that he did that film with Victoria Tennant, who he was married to at the time - the second film they did together. I like her a lot. It is too bad they later divorced.

I rewatched Roxanne a couple weeks ago. It is a bit simple, but I like it. But watching it now, what stood out to me was how hard Darryl Hannah was pushing herself. It seemed like this comedy was asking her to give more of herself than she had to in previous films.

Got a copy of LA Story from Amazon Japan for about $30US shipped in 4 days via DHL. Nice to have a Region A copy. The picture quality is OK, though it could be better. It might be on par with the Planes, Trains, & Automobiles blu-ray, but not as good as Roxanne, Parenthood, or Three Amigos.
I forgot how really crazy it is, like the early sequence on the freeway, where the radio announcer says it is the first day of spring, and a panicked Martin says "It's open season!" & madly gets Marilu Henner to load his pistol so he can trade fire with other motorists. Marilu Henner is the no good girlfriend, but she looks stunning, as does young Sarah Jessica Parker. Even Iman shows up at a luncheon party looking gorgeous.
Anyways, wish you could get things shipped as quickly within North America.

Still surprises me Fox never released Cheaper by the Dozen on BD but released the sequel... Disney should get on that, even if it's a 2 movie collection.

Thought about ordering it, but the consensus seems to be "meh". I don't know if Lionsgate still owns it, but if they do a domestic release would be great. It is very much a time capsule of L.A. in the early '90s, and it's also my 2nd-favorite Steve Martin movie.

I wish they'd do something with All of Me, as someone else mentioned. The old DVD is unwatchable.

Though it isn't a prominent Martin movie, I would like to see Shopgirl on the Blu-ray list someday.

It manages to be both simple and complex. That no one has mentioned it yet is probably why it isn't on Blu-ray!

For those desperate for All of Me, the good news is that there is finally an OAR HD transfer for this movie, which (the bad-ish news) is, as far as I can tell, exclusive to HBO. Still, in the grand scheme of things, the movie has been treated so poorly on home video, seeing it look relatively great and in widescreen, all I feel is relief.

Just bought Father of the Bride I and II based on this thread and looking at the titles.

Bad review on this site but wanted it because I don't think Disney will upgrade and I think a lot of Disney/Fox Catalog titles will eventually be going OOP.

Hahahaha, you quoted a 15-month-old comment to get in this "burn"? Meltdowns and tantrums are your forte, kid. You're an embarrassment, with skin thinner than a grape. And the vast majority of the kickboxing movies you want to see released are straight up garbage.
