Somebody asked on Twitter some time back, SS replied they used what Universal supplied them with, a bit vague as it doesn't really confirm if it's the new 2K scan or not

Hopefully the booklet will confirm.

I can confirm also. Nice new extras though. I didn't own any of the previous releases though so, this is a very nice set to have.

Just to confirm, it's the same scan as the Shout release or the same as the 2008 Universal BD release?

I haven't seen the previous releases to compare. But, after some reading on the other releases, i'm pretty sure it's identical to the Shout release. I even thought the SS had new special features but, it looks like they're identical to Shout's. So, if you own the Shout release, you're not getting anything new. Except the packaging, book, and poster.

Look like the SS is the same as the Universal release. I don’t know which is more accurate. I had the universal, upgraded to the Shout, and now I may end up triple dipping on this one. I will likely wait for a price drop or the standard edition.
