So should this, in theory, be better than Synapse’s BDs? I recall Don was extremely meticulous and perfectionist with these films. I feel kinda tempted to see if Synapse will do one or something. Just hard to jump on it. I want it though.

People did not like the look of the prior Arrow editions. Synapse released them with some corrections to the color timing (day for night shot) and people loved them. However, one former member here posted that he saw prints of these and stated that a particular day for night shot was not presented as night on the actual film print, contradicting the argument that the Arrow was incorrect. Wish I remembered the posting. I do wonder if the Arrow was in the wrong color space or something like that.


Arrow VIDEO's first Demons release was noteworthy in my opinion for being the first Italian title released to show a concern for actual picture quality. Shortly after was Zombi 2, which was also quite good (though since improved upon by BU and their 4K resto).

Yep. Just posted on FB:

"With respect to the US right's holder on Demons and Demons 2 we will most likely not be importing the UHD. Sorry for the inconvenience and just to note that this is in no way a confirmation that Synapse is doing a UHD at this time."

Tough call on this one. Pretty happy with my Synapse Blu for D1 (I don't like D2) but I feel like I should support UHD on general principle, at least when the transfer isn't botched. I suppose I'll wait 'til reviews come out.

You are correct, they are region free. But if there is a separate blu ray disc for special features, that will be region locked.
