Default Save HD-DVD petition closing in on 26,000 signatures... Yea!!!

That petition that was all the talk of the tech blogs yesterday is closing in on 26,000 signatures. Although this is not a good thing for the Red camp... Check out the newest 5 or 6 pages.... Pretty funny stuff!

Yeah, it's a laugh, but when you post this link here, it just makes it even more visible on the internet to search engines.

Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing though.

If you really look, there is one person called "Go Red", that must've signed it a couple thousand times. Warner Brothers will NOT listen to these morons.

If they only allowed one signature per person, it may mean something, but having the same idiots sign it over and over isn't going to impress anyone, as if they (Warner) would look at it anyway.

The ones signing the petition need to go the store and start buying all those worthless HD-DVD'S and put their money behind their signature LOL.

I've been watching, there's a new signature every 6-10 seconds on there. I cannot imagine people lining up to sign this, so there has to be something fishy going on here.

Participating on an Internet Petition is like arguing on the Internet. And we all know...

<edit> My apologies for using that picture. In hindsight, it was in poor taste.

What a joke. It's sad that someone may actually be thinking that what they are doing is making any sort of difference.

At least they try, but their just wasting their time. Online petitions never make corporations change their mind, they know it consists of a whole bunch of repeats, and all they really care about is making money for the shareholders. Where's all the money at, Blu-ray or HD-DVD? That's something companies like Warner would now prior to having made a decision to join an HD format side (meaning Blu).

If they had lined up like that to buy HD DVD players last autumn, things may have been a bit different, but it's easier to sign virtual signatures than to buy thousands of inferior machines.

Quoting Blu-backer: Participating on an Internet Petition is like arguing on the Internet. And we all know...

Though this is not politically correct in any way. The principal is true. The petition will do nothing and is a waste of time. If anything some HD DVD lovers, all 15 of them, would have spent hours and days signing the stupid thing repeatedly to no avail..... oh well
