Star Wars (voting thread) - Blu-ray Forum

I made a Star Wars voting thread a few years back, and even though it was a lot of fun, I think it could have been better. Also, we've had a few new entries into Star Wars since then, so I thought it would be fun to do it again.

To make everything easier, only current canon movies and series (animated and live action) will be eligible. Also, to avoid confusion, The Clone Wars (animated movie and series) will be considered one title.

For clarification, here is a list of what's eligible:

The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Return of the Jedi (1983)
The Phantom Menace (1999)
Attack of the Clones (2002)
Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 - 2014 animated tv series)

Solo (2018)

Resistance (2018 - 2020 animated tv series)

Lists will be compiled using this points scale:

1. 15 points
2. 14 points
3. 13 points
4. 12 points
5. 11 points
6. 10 points
7. 9 points
8. 8 points
9. 7 points
10. 6 points
11. 5 points
12. 4 points
13. 3 points
14. 2 points
15. 1 point

Do not debate the movies here. There are plenty of other threads for that.

Only make one list.

The deadline will be determined based on participation.

Have not seen resistance.

Honestly the problems with the prequels and sequels was lack of consistency. The OT somehow against all odds had a mostly coherent story that flowed naturally from one movie to the next. The prequels and sequels did not. That being said, there are many individual scenes in various movies that are good. And TLJ may be hated for making Luke disgruntled but crotchety Mark Hamill is peak Mark Hamill.

Rogue one I marked low because it makes Leia in the first film look like an idiot by denying that she was with the rebels after Vader just slaughtered his way through a completely different ship full of people who are obviously her men.

That being said, I still enjoy it all to varying degrees. Even Attack of the clones which is soooooooo slow and booooring at many stretches. Especially since the virtual backgrounds are undercooked and not pleasing to the eye while they prattle on.

Edit: Anyone is welcome to their own opinion for their own rankings. I know people younger than me have nostalgia blinders for the prequels and that is fine. I likely have some for the OT. Opinion is subjective and everyone is right in about their own opinion. Respect.

The Prequels didnt feel cohesive, you dont think? They Feel like one long movie to me which is exactly what a good trilogy ought to feel like. I dont get that take but to each their own.
