1408--Region Free Import - Blu-ray Forum

hi all

i noticed that there is an import out there for the film 1408...seeing how wienstein seems to be a no go right now i was looking for conformation from someone who may already own it that it is region free. the specs say yes but first hand experience is always the best. thanks

I just oredered it from xploitedcinema.com Its listed as region free. There are some threads at highdefdigest you could check out also.

yeah thats where i noticed it from. just looking for conformation and perhaps a little quality report. i'll have to check those threads. thanks!

No problem. It doesnt look like anyone over there has the blu-ray yet, but one guy did get the hd-dvd in and said the quality was good and it has pop-up menus. there is a link to a dutch review though they they gave it a bery good review. I ordered it cant wait for it to come in.

Before I decided to buy it, I email them about this and they wrote back saying this:

"hi!
it's been tested in 3 region A blu-ray players and it plays fine. i haven't
heard definite confirmation regarding PS3's, but the disc is definitely All
Region so it should play fine.

in another thread about this i was told the company releasing this does a piss poor job with transfers. can anyone confirm yet?

the directors cut, from what I remember, had the worst ending ever, and completely ruined the movie.. it was the second disc from the 2 disc collectors set I think.

pass. give me the theatrical or unrated.
