Default The Official 8-Track Lovers Thread

In most audio circles 8-Tracks get a bad rap However there are still many fans of the 8-Track medium and on ebay certain tapes will still sell for 100's of dollars.

I started this thread for 8-Track lovers to share pictures of their collections and talk about their favorite analog medium The Mighty 8-Track!

Did you know 8-Track Tapes have a higher sound quality than cassette tapes? The Cassette Tape was more versatile and compact than 8-Track tapes however the sound from an 8-Track Tape provides a higher quality of sound.

Here are the Alice Cooper 8-Tracks I listen to often.

The RED 8-Tracks for "Zipper Catches Skin" and "Dada" are ones I made myself using my LLOYD'S 8-Track Recorder, they were never released on 8-Track:

Here is my ANGEL collection, the ones on the left are sealed (never been opened) the ones on the right are the ones I listen to.

I peeled the "Sinful" label off one of the 8-Tracks and the "Bad Publicity" label was underneath it

The RED 8-Track for "Jaws 3-D" I made myself using my LLOYD'S 8-Track Recorder, it was never released on 8-Track:

I missed the 8-track craze. I was too young when they were popular and by the time I finally got into music, it was vinyl and cassette.

I had 8 tracks back in the day but I got into recording on cassette and cds came out, so I no longer had deal with them. Never thought they would be worth much so I just tossed them. Here is what I had.

My dad has quite a collection that he has stashed away somewhere. I know he has a lot of the early Beatles albums on 8 track.

I know this is the 8 track thread but thought some of you might get a kick out of my cassettes I recorded back in the day off of records and later cds. It was nice to be able to record 90+ minutes of my favorites songs in the order I wanted and fade in or out of some songs. These were back when I had a cassette deck in my vehicle. Lots of hours getting every thing just right, long gone now.
