This has been going on for months! I just realized what exactly was happening today. I order from Amazon UK all the time, but significantly less since Covid hit. They are a great place to order 3D titles cheaply. Lately I have been ordering 4K titles I can't get in the states. Also Blu-ray TV series since my Oppo 203 is region free.
For some reason certain titles are only showing availability to British citizens only. They are showing in stock if I put in a London postal code and out of stock if they ship to the US. Titles such as Terminator Salvation 4K, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure 4K, Bill & Ted Face The Music 4K, Man in a Suitcase Complete Series Blu-ray, The Elephant Man 4K, The Ladykillers 4k, Paddington 2 4K, Frankie Drake Mysteries 1-3 Bluray, Monsters Inc. 3D Blu-ray. Again all showing available with a London postal code and not available for US purchase!? Yet on my order The Masque of Red Death Blu-ray (2020 remaster), Napoleon BFI Blu-ray, Marlene Dietrich at Universal 1940-1942 Blu-ray, Faust MOC Blu-ray and The Matt Helm Lounge Blu-ray are showing available. On Amazon DE Bill & Ted Face the Music 4K is showing available. Yet since it ships from the UK I cannot purchase the title. Any of the above titles is showing as available on the Blu-ray.com site. Click on the link and they show temporarily out of stock with delivery to the US. Put in a British postal code they are magically in stock again. A while back they were not shipping to the US period. I get that. What is happening now where some titles are available and some are not is ridiculous! Which lead me the the question "What the Hell is going on at Amazon UK?!" |
