Will we get a 50th anniversary/30th anniversary of the film blu-Ray?

The film has made it's way to HD digital store fronts so it seems feasible that a release would develop sometime in the next two years but for now it's only wishlist fodder.

Not unless Paramount releases it on Blu internationally (there's your idea for Imprint release in Australia). Otherwise, hope for the day Disney/Touchstone realizes the value of physical media (and sublicensing).

Alive was a co-production with Touchstone Pictures and Paramount. Disney owns North American distribution rights while Paramount has overseas. Ether Paramount or a label like Imprint would release such a Blu overseas.

This is one of my grails so if Imprint releases it, I'd be over the moon. Thank goodness for International rights

Does anyone know of other Touchstone titles that are not distributed by Disney Internationally that could see a Blu-ray release from overseas? How about Splash?

Always wanted to see this and remember the story sounding pretty grim when I was a kid. Good that it's at least digital HD and I'd probably get it it goes on sale.

One of the best survival films out there, true story too. A blu a long overdue.
