However, in an interview with The Telegraph, the director revealed that there are still two genres he hopes to tackle, and something tells us you probably didn't see at least one of them coming*.

"I've always wanted to make a religious film and a pornographic film, and I've never really yet had the chance to do either. Maybe if I could combine the two," he told the site. "Or maybe 300 is that film, in some sense, a little bit. Or at least a primer for what that film could be."

While 300 was by no means pornographic, it certainly highlighted the male form and we all remember Watchmen's infamous "Hallelujah" sex scene.

Where Snyder's career goes next remains to be seen, but if Army of the Dead is a huge hit for Netflix, it would be surprising for the streamer not to enlist him for a sequel (a prequel and animated series are already in the works). As for a porno helmed by the filmmaker...well, we could look forward to plenty of slow-motion in that, at least.

*No pun intended...well, maybe a little.

As someone that likes more serious film and art, and even with my photography, I've always wanted to do something with pornography as well.

The stigma attached to porn is so antiquated. It's a visual medium where you can do a lot with makeup, clothing, sets, and lighting.

I'd watch it.

Frankly, that stigma is largely American.

French cinema, in particular, has ZERO problems with graphic sexual content through even pseudo-pornographic lens.
