Wish it was 4K, but oh well. Also the Paramount 8 are available for like a third of the price.

Currently $24.99. No digital and a standard blue case.

EDIT: I see 1-4 are from the new 4K remasters.

I can see that case going for some pretty bucks online for the aficionados who now have an easily accessible means to bunch up their horror collections in blood-red multi-disc cases.

Why not? It's the first one with Kane Hodder!

It'll probably just be a re-release of the original set, but still cool to see.

TBH, to see the first 2 in the Paramount Presents line would be ideal. Think standard editions of the Scream discs once that set goes (unfortunately) OOP.

UPDATE: Speak of the devil! Look at the description!:

"This collection contains newly remastered editions of the original theatrical cut of FRIDAY THE 13TH(1980), FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2, FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3, and FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER."

This is the first time that they have been released with digital downloads right?

I'm wondering if all of them, or at the very least 1-4, will be repressed versions of the Scream discs with those extras, considering they are the new transfers. That would be nice to see for those who didn't get the SF version.

Same sh*t, different package. Wish they'd have put out a proper 40th anniversary edition of the original last year.

I guess some cows just keep giving milk.

So.... They made new packaging and it now costs three times as much their current set?

Well, the new 4K masters, yes, but overall, no, as the older Blu-ray Tin Box of the Complete Franchise had digital versions.

I’d guess the new restorations but probably no extras, one cut and multiple movies on one disc.

Yah. The spine says 6-disc set for this 8 movie collection. 5-6 and 7-8 share discs again probably?

(I'm just going by pics of the current 8 movie set in Amazon reviews. I don't own it but that seems to be how that set is organized.)

Nice packaging, but I have Scream’s set, so I don’t need this. Still, it’s nice that the new transfers are in print for those that don’t want to pay $120+.

It's still a 6-disc set, so the first four films will probably still be on individual discs. And since they're remastered, those four would be brand spanking new discs - but I'm not holding out for much nor do I care. I have the SF set.

Yes, not counting the one sold at Walmart that had a Vudu promo copy attached (but that may have been only for the DVD set, I can't remember).

I guess since they are not remastered parts 5+6 and 7+8 will just be the old discs.
The big question is if they will include the Shout extras like the deleted scenes for part 2.

Yes, most likely. Then didn't remaster those for the SF set either.

From the Amazon description: "This collection contains newly remastered editions of the original theatrical cut of FRIDAY THE 13TH(1980)..."

So maybe no uncut version of the original? It lists six discs so 5/6 and 7/8 will most likely be doubled up as usual... of course it also says John Krasinsky is the director so who knows.

Good point, I didn't notice that. A John Krasinsky Friday movie would be interesting to see one day.
