Just wait for BB, GS, WM or Target to open their doors on release day (if you live near any of those places). Game Stop (GS) takes reservations (if you haven't tried already).

I've heard on Youtube and read online that there are still stores in the US that have shelves filled with the Mario ones. I imagine there'll be some Zelda ones too this time around.
Although if it's sold out online, I'd say the best bet is to check your local stores and have them hold one for you when they come in stock there, that way you're covered. |

November 12th.
It's pretty much the same release date as the Mario version. And if that's the case, there's a chance the Zelda version will also be discontinued by the end of March 2022, since the Mario one was discontinued near the end of March 2021 (IIRC). |

I'll use the same game plan for Zelda handheld unless more pre-orders pop up between now and then. |

The screen is so tiny, playing the games on it will be painful

The screen isn't the problem for me. It's the control layout and that's only from excessive play. I bought the Mario version last year and beat the first game on each difficulty without warping and beat the second game without warping 8 times to unlock the bonus levels, and beat those too for the true game ending.
Due to me playing it obsessively and dying countless times, it was a strain on my hands. To say my hands were in pain when I beat both games is a vast understatement. If the D pad and the A B buttons were positioned at the top of the device instead of the bottom, it would be much more comfortable for longer playing. The screen is very crisp, and the sound quality is great too. I'll probably go through those hand pains again with this Zelda device. But it'll be worth it. ![]() |

Mario Edition had a ton of stock so I'll just pick up later. This, I'll actually use and play. Didn't care much for the Mario Edition.

![]() Also this includes different versions of the games. Apparently it comes with French, German, and even Japanese versions of the games, and the Japenese version is the famicom version with the extra sound channel for richer music/sfx. |

I hope Nintendo could extend the Zelda 35th anniversary celebration to the end of next year to mark the original Zelda release in the West. Then there’s hope of more anniversary games being released.

Oh and an awesome thing about this device: It has an engraved tri-force logo on the back of the device, and when you switch on the screen, the tri-force logo on the back lights up. It's amazing for me. ![]() |
