That first trailer makes it seem like it's not an action film at all almost. But some kind of fantasy genre film not linked to Marvel. I never read the comics.

Hopefully the action is revealed in the next trailer and delivers in this Eternals series, along with the 3D.

This will need the 3D to fill in the plot hole as to why humanity has some secret uber-protectors who just sat on their hands during umpteen gazillion extinction-level crises faced by humanity.

As far as I am aware, they never really filled in that same plothole with Captain Marvel either.

For all the flak that Iron Fist got (hey, it was a decent ripoff of the good season of The Arrow), some of these newer MCU movies look like they're a lot closer to being like that Netflix show than Infinity War. Did the budget dry up?

It's confirmed that we'll be getting answers when we watch the film in November.

Unless there isn't a 3D showing available 'round these parts. Free Guy is slated to receive only 8 showings in 3D here. It didn't even last from its launch Friday to the next Friday.

The CGI at 0:55->0:58 looks like the sort that would look "budget" in a 2D film but could have some fun "pop" in a 3D film?

The film is not yet rated, so that means the actual film and the CGI is still being polished. It can pop out in 3D if the conversion is done that way. Hoping for a great 3D experience as always.

I thought they always put the best stuff from the films into the trailers?

Though it wouldn't be the first film to feature a trailer that is radically different than the film. I just checked out that 3D trailer for Artemis Fowl, for example.

This is a tough call for me as this film does not look great and, in as much as I have my finger on the pulse of the MCU fandom, it has even less hype than the Ten Rings film. It would be a movie where I'm watching it for the 3D spectacle first, second, and third...with the actual film itself maybe ranking in as a distant fourth.

I do wish that whether or not 3D is taken off of life support weren't a decision seemingly tied to the box office fate of meh-looking movies, in an era where it is day-to-day for the next 4 years whether theaters will even be open.

Only one showing listed so far for my theater and it's at you guessed it 9:30 pm Friday onwards.Hopefully some more showtimes will be listed closer to release because it's getting tiring having to go late for the 3d showing. Iv'e had to do that for Free Guy and Venom 2 and NO Time to Die didn't even have any 3d showings in my area. This is kinda strange considering Shang Chi had a whole screen for 3d for 3 weeks straight last month.

I guess I'm looking forward to never getting to see this movie in 3D, oh well.

That's exactly my situation with "Bond: No Time To Die".

Hope there will be 3D Blu-ray surprises for both movies in the near future.

There was an Eternals pamphlet included in the Japanese Black Widow release, not that that proves anything. It would be bad form to downgrade the Movienex product between promotion and release though.

The cinema release will be widespread so I'd definitely check it out during the theatrical window for peace of mind - given Disney's erratic physical stance. I've been to the cinema more in the past six months than ever before for that reason.

Yeah, this one is not inspiring me to see it, unless the 3D was amazing and strong. Then I'd consider it just for the 3D. Maybe the enemies in this will be great. I'll wait for reviews on Eternals.

People said the same thing about Black Widow and that movie was great. Marvel haven’t made a single ‘bad’ film yet IMO, I have faith this will be a good one and I always avoid trailers either way because they’ll either make your expectations too high, spoil stuff, or both.

Oh interesting! My local Cinemarks both have their 3D listings already. Usually they don't do it until a week before release.

Just got my advanced 3D tickets. I've been excited to see this one and from what I've seen there is many potential shots for fantastic 3D.

I'm not sure about this. The 3D for Black Widow seems solid but the film itself, well, making it through has been a struggle.

It certainly wasn't the Budapest adventure we were pitched.

Interestingly the film subverts the two Widows as it shows them standing next to their "father" and it really shows how ludicrous it is that they're supposed to be hand to hand combat champions who can throw 200# burly bros around like rag dolls, but you see them staring next to their burlier father and, especially with the 3D, your brain dispells the illusion.

Other movies with Widow that I recall made sure to frame her in the shots so that this problem wasn't apparent.

Did your Cinemark have NTTD in 3D?

Nope, Venom LTBC has had the 3D showings. For over a week now. Which is crazy. Because the Cinemarks here never have the 3D showings that long. 3 days at most.

Shang-Chi only had 3D showings for 3 days.

That is a surprise. I wonder why Cinemark punted on 3D for NTTD? If yours are doing the same as mine and going long with Venom 3D then I'm suspecting it's a corporate-wide decision.

If only Cinemark here had kept Free Guy in 3D for more than just a few days
