I checked the service, and I think there still isn't a lot (or any?) of must watch content on Apple Tv+

but free is free. so I started Ted Lasso, which is decent so far but it's yet to completely 'click' for me

Servant and Defending Jacob look interesting, so I'll check these out. when it comes to movie, only Greyhound caught my interest.

other than than, I think everything else look serviceable to bad

I use it for Home Before Dark which is a decent Stranger Things but with journalism little show. The Banker was a really good movie that is on there. I thought Greyhound was boring as dirt.

Definitely not a service worth paying for once my free year runs out.

According to the 16 emails I get from AppleTV everyday, Ted Lasso is a heck of a show.

I have a deal with my sister where I pay for Disney+ and all the Apple stuff, she pays all other streaming and cellular. I think I got the better deal, but I’ve never even launched AppleTV+ once so it feels like I’m wasting money…not to mention buying a new Apple Watch and using Apple fitness a total of twice.

This stacks with any other promotional you may have used on Apple+. Target had a 4 month offer that I redeemed in June, and this Playstation offer extended my plan until April next year.

Worth it for Ted Lasso.

I take it I can unlock this on the PS5 and then watch on the PS4 which I prefer?

I'll wait until a few exclusive movies back up again.

I'm already on the 12 months free from buying an Apple product so I haven't looked at this yet, assuming it's available in the UK.

I've enjoyed a lot of stuff Apple has to offer, Ted Lasso was fantastic and I hate football so... See was OK, season 2 should be out soon. Servant was a bit of a struggle to watch, haven't made it through episode 2 of the second season yet.

The morning show I liked, I didn't want to watch it but the wife insisted and it dragged me in.

Central Park is ok if you like Bobs Burgers kind of show.

I think the biggest show they have and probably one of the greatest things on TV right now is For All Mankind. That space race alternate history type stuff really hits the spot for me and I feel like it's a really underrated show.

One other I'd recommend is Calls. It's not really a TV show, it's more of an audio drama set to an animated screensaver. It's like a found footage horror except it's told through phone calls, voicemails 911 dispatches etc. It's not that long but it is excellent. I think it was adapted from an original French release.

It also has all of Ewan McGregor's The Long Way series which is another personal favourite of mine.

That content alone is worth the price of admission and in this case the price is free! I would jump on it in an instant because those shows alone are pretty great. If you are looking for exclusive movies then pretty much the only thing I've seen on there is Greyhound which I enjoyed, other than that there's not a lot to watch film wise. They definitely have a way to go to compete with the likes of Netflix in movie content but the TV content they have put out so far is probably better than the stuff Netflix seems to churn out weekly.
