Though there are some jokes in "Shriek If You Know..." that I find a touch funnier/as funny as the "Scary Movie" jokes:

It's close to a tie in my book. Both have jokes that work and some that don't. If I had a definite choice, I'd say Scary Movie, though I enjoy both.

Shriek came out three months after Scary Movie and did not release in theaters. Apparently it premiered on the USA Network. Definitely interesting that it and Scary Movie must've been made independently without either one being seen by the other filmmakers first.

I haven't seen the latter, but the former is one of the worst spoofs I've ever seen. It makes Student Bodies look like Airplane.
