I don't know what DIRAC is (yet), but it seems like Onkyo has the best value as far as wattage goes on their flagship model. I am considering preordering one because I would definitely like a more modern avr, but I should probably wait for things to return to normal and for them to go on sale again. I dunno.

https://www.dirac.com/live/

It is among the best room correction you can get today.
Some might say even better than Anthems ARC. Which is considered tops today.

NAD has been using Dirac on its receivers as well as emotiva.

It is far far superior to audyssey, ypao and accu eq, mcacc.

Oh by the way the new pioneers will have this as well. Hope this helps

See my post above.

THis is a game changer for the competition. None of their room correction is as sophisticated. (Except Anthems ARC) which is on par or slightly better depending on who you talk to. Have experience with ARC and it is worth every penny.

Onkyo is the only manufacturer not having hdm2.1 board issues.

Do we have before and after comparison measurements between Dirac vs ARC vs MultiEQ XT32 vs MCACC etc in the same room that can help us quantify what "far far superior" means? Or is that statement based solely on specifications?

If you buy the new Onkyo receivers, don’t forget to activate the HDMI 2.1 in the menu. It is not clear how to do this so I created a short video for it.

Has anyone purchased any of the recent Onkyo Receivers?? I have been looking at the TX-NR6100 since I really need a new receiver (mine is a Yamaha from 2008). I've watched a few reviews on YouTube but I figured I would ask on here.

Just purchased a refurb NR7100 direct from Onkyo for a pretty decent price, looking forward to setting it up along with my new TV and sub on my bday!

I wish the TX-RZ 50 receiver would get back in stock, This is my next receiver i want to purchase. There a re a few sites you can reserve back orders but hesitant to do that. Waiting for Amazon, Best buy and Onkyo to get them back in stock for sale,i look everyday. i heard that restock were suppose to be sometime this month but so far nothing. I am set up for notifications as well from Crutchfield and Adorama restocks as well.

Went ahead and ordered the RZ50 yesterday... realized the 7100 doesn't have preouts, and I wanted to use this amp that has been sitting around for the past year on my new KEFs, so I bought another Onkyo!

Honestly I have always been happy with their products, starting with my first nice dedicated AVR, the TX-SR605. I believe I used to also have an 805 or one of the 800 series too but sold it. Sucks to see them going out of business but I am not too worried about it dying on me. Hope Pioneer continues to make good affordable higher end AVRs with decent power.
