I own a PS3 2.1 hooked to a Philips USA 47PFL9732D 47" Widescreen 1080p HDTV LCD via HDMI.
Every once and a while especially on facial close ups the color temperature changes from warm to cool & back, this is usually abrupt and makes me angry ![]() I have tried differnt output settings but to no avail anyone esle with this annoying occurrence? |

Yes I can, but it is more of a quick smooth glitch than a adjustable ting?
What BR settings do you have your PS3 to your TV? |

Is the problem specific to your connection on the PS3? Do you see this happen with other content aside from Blu-ray movies? Games?
Possibility #1: Set your PS3 to use Y Pb / Cb Pr / Cr for Blu-ray playback. You may get better results than RGB. Possibility #2: If the above doesn't fix the problem, check the RGB output settings on your PS3. If you've set it to Full, it's possible (unlikely, but possible) that your TV is not handling the full spectrum RGB data correctly. Try turning it off and see if that corrects the problem. The long and short of this is that different TVs handle different signals with various amounts of grace. Changing the output on the PS3 may produce better or worse results on your particular display over HDMI. |

Turn OFF Perfect Pixel HD, 120 Hz Clear LCD, Dynamic Contrast, Noise Reduction, MPEG artifact reduction, Color Enhancement, Active Control, and Light Sensor. Do it one by one to see if there's any improvement.
The likeliest culprit is the Light Sensor as it'll detect if the room is darker because the scene is dark and lighten up the scene. fuad |
