Finland Anne of the Thousand Days - 2021 Edition

Anyone here have this?

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Anne-...lu-ray/287263/

I would like to know if the disc is Region B-locked -- and I'd also be curious to know how the picture quality stacks up to the older (and pricier) Twilight Time edition.

And who got fired for that typo on the cover! :P

It's region B locked as the pic of the back cover clearly shows from the link you posted. It's 2.35:1, same as the Twilight Time, but on a BD25 unlike TT's BD50 so picture quality won't be as good.

You have it? Sure it says region B but there are plenty of region free discs regardless of the zone informed on the cover.

I don't have it, no. I have just acquired the UK released Final Cut Blu-ray which is on a BD50 and matches the average bitrate of the TT. The colours are as rich as the screengrabs for the TT indicate so I'll be giving this Scandi BBD25 a miss and selling my unopened copy of the TT BD50.

Resurrecting this thread after a few years to answer my own question. Despite the back cover saying Region B, this disc plays just fine on my Region A players. A/V quality is probably a notch below the Twilight Time and Capelight discs, being compressed onto a BD-25 with lossy audio ... but this talky costume drama honestly looks and sounds fine on my system. (And to justwannaboogie, there are no forced subtitles.) As a bargain-priced upgrade from DVD, and a film I won't watch often, I'm satisfied!
