Default Looking forward to Narnia - does Disney produce good BDs?

I'm a die-hard Narnia fan, and I can't wait for "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" Blu-Ray. It's coming out in May, in time for the "Prince Caspian" release.

What I'd like to know is, does Disney have a good reputation for Blu-Ray Discs?

Ratatouille is highly rated in terms of PQ and AQ, so are all the Pirates... also, Disney likes to put a lot of interactivity, being a front-runner in BD+ content.

I thought Narnia would come out with Prince Caspian in November...guess not...Earlier, the better...Narnia will be siccckkk in BLU....I own Cars, Ratatouille, Meet the Robinsons, Pirates 1-3, and Chicken Little..Top 8 movies I have. Unfortunaltly I have to admit, Transformers looks the best to me even being HD dvd

I would say Disney is right up there close to number 1. Only other studio I could say has amazing PQ on *most* of their releases is Fox. They have been knocking all of theirs out of the park recently as well. I also cannot wait to own Narnia on Blu-ray.

I just showed by GFs Dad an A-B comparison of the Pirates 1 DVD and then the Blu-ray. He was pretty impressed. So was I for that matter! Disney puts out the BEST BDs! (btw, this is the best smiley ever!)

Has a release date been set yet? I heard rumors of May but some people in this thread are spouting off like it has been set. That would be great.

Not an exact date. Just sometime in May:

Prince Caspian hits theaters May 16. So, I think it's same to assume the LWW BD will be released before then. Probably May 5 or 12.

I hope the May date is correct. After seeing the preview during the Superbowl last night, I'm anxious to see Prince Caspian.

I hope they develop the characters more though. I liked the first movie overall but I never really got attached to the characters (like I did when reading the books).

I saw the demo for Narnia and Nemo at the Sony Store (latest demo Blu-ray I guess). Anyway, these two movies looked sic. Narnia will not disappoint and I bet it will receive 5/5 PQ/AQ reference. Nemo will too but that will be the topic of another thread.

Disney is hard to beat on Blu, they're consistently the highest quality releases I've seen. Heck, even their Standard DVD's beat most other studio's in quality (compare Cinderella to Fox's Simpsons, and it looks like the Simpsons had an intentally lowered resolution to encourage its release on Blu).

Narnia would look astounding, I can't wait. Same for the National Treasure films, I'm getting both of those too.
