Default 32" wall mount + hiding cables

OK, so I've done some searches on these forums and a lot of people have recommendations for wall mounts. But I am curious not only about the mount, but also about hiding cables? Is there some sort of wall strip available that lets me hide the HDMI and 2x component cables coming out of my TV?

Here's my setup: This is for our 32" Vizio in our bedroom. I'd like to wall mount it above a shelf that'll house the components (cable box, Xbox 360, Sony S300 Blu-ray player--that's all), and maybe some storage for games and such. So I need a tilting wall mount, but also something to hide the component cables (1 from the cable box and 1 from the Xbox) and the HDMI cable (from the Sony player).

I've seen some all-in-one products like the OmniMount, but I doubt those shelves are big enough to accommodate the Blu-ray player since it's so deep. Anyone have any experience on this who could help me out? Thanks!

Yes, it's my house... not renting. Please elaborate on cutting a hole in the wall. We have a bathroom/shower on the opposite side of the wall the TV is going on, so I dunno if that would be wise.

very simple mate, you need a stud finder. Check it first to see if your studs are horizontal or vertical...for your sake i hope it's horizontal lol
basically you just drill a hole and fish all the wires down below.

Default Cable raceways

If you don't want to drill into the wall and fish for your wires you can get cable raceways http://cableorganizer.com/cable-raceway/

Don't know how handy you are, but I helped my brother with his and what he did was cut a whole in the wall with a sheet rock knife behind the tv so it was hidden and behind the table that holds all of his gear like the ps3 and calbe box and so on. For the whole in the wall we put those orange boxes the use for your cable line in the wall and than just found a plate that had an big opening to cover the box. Then we just fished the wires down. If you do this make sure you have a cap on the tip of your wires so nothing gets in them. If your tv is mounted on the wall you should already know where the studs are so cutting right in the middle should be a straight shot down.

It's a typical American stick-built home, so vertical studs are 17" apart, with horizontal reinforcements every 36" I believe, although this is a non-load bearing wall... it just separates the Master Suite from the Master Bath.

I could fish it through the wall, but I'm trying not to do too much carpentry here, since I'd want it to look nice and professional if we ever decided to sell the home (likely).

I just found these on OmniMount's web site, and I think they might work OK. I like that they can be painted.

The strips will work, but for a really neat job:
Get 2 low-voltage single gang outlet boxes from your local electrical supply store. They are only about 1" deep.
Cut a 2"x3" (approx., use box to measure) behind the TV, located where the cables can be routed.
Do the same directly below the first one where you want the cabels to come out.
Go to av-outlet.com, click on "wire management" on the left side, and go to "bulk wire plates". They have a great selection of wall plates that screw on to your low-voltage boxes and give the whole thing a finished look. The power cord, HDMI cables etc. route easily thru the covers.
You can do the entire job easily in a half hour. And no painting!
