Default Need lots of useful information: Help Needed

Hello I am an undergrad IT student going for my bachelor's degree. I am writing a 15 page paper for the Association of Information Technology Professionals.

I am focusing my paper on The Format Wars, explaining Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. I have written two pages so far, first introducing VHS vs Betamax, giving quick facts and end results as well as lessons learned.

This is where I begin diverging into the primary focus, this most recent format war.

Any good information, sources, suggestions, etc. are welcome.

I definitely need information explaining the birth of both technologies (Blu-Ray and HD-DVD) as this is where I would like to begin.

You can try Wiki for links and basic information.

Remember to NEVER quote Wikipedia in ANY papers you make for school or work.

But you will be able to use it to find sources that can be used.

Look at the Blu-ray page on wiki, as well as the hd dvd page, and see what they say. Always look at the sources before you use any information.

Also, look at Beta Max page and use sources there.

There are lots of places to look, try to find any scientific journals or articles, but unfortunately most things you see for this war will be on news sites, press reports, and forums.

I would also go into how SD and HD compare to see how the format war is essential for this conflict.

Take a look at the official sits too, bluraydisc.com and thelookandsoundofperfect.com
They each give facts, but they are not completely up-to-date all the time.

Good Luck.
