Hopefully Paramount gives 4K transfers to the rest of their early MPEG-2/lossy audio titles like Sleepy Hollow, Freedom Writers, and The Italian Job. I'm surprised they didn't even release a 20th anniversary 4K edition of World Trade Center this year, but decided to give Shooter a new 4K 15th anniversary steelbook. I wonder who in their home entertainment department decides on what movie should be remastered and what shouldn't.

If they remastered the audio to atmos I will definitely get when on sale but a missed opportunity with the artwork for sure. |

Movie aside, when did a “15th Anniversary” become a thing?
10th, 20th, 25th maybe, but a 15th? It’s not a marriage. You don’t need to mark every anniversary. |

A total of 61.5GB of space out of 66GB is used on the 4K Blu-ray disc. The only disappointing thing about this release is they did not port over the audio commentary track which is a disappointment for fans of audio commentary tracks. However 100% of the extra features uses HEVC codec at native 4K resolution. Also the picture and sound is a big upgrade with lossless 5.1 DTS-HD Master audio with native 4K Dolby Vision HDR using the HEVC codec. Much better then the 2007 Blu-ray that used MPEG-2 1080P with lossy audio. Limitations of my equipment meant native 4K was downscaled to 1080P. 5.1 lossless audio was nice with active subwoofer. Nice 4K scan from the 35mm negative. Films budget was $61 million dollars with box office sells of $95.7 million dollars.
