Disney Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 3D Blu-ray (2022) [Region Free]

Like Marvel's last three MCU films before it, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was only released on 3D Blu-ray in Japan in a 2D+3D+4K combo pack. The discs are REGION FREE with the 3D disc not including a separate subtitle track for the few lines of foreign dialogue - you will have to turn the English subtitle track on and off manually for these, though only a couple of times at the beginning of the film. Sadly, the discs do not feature the expanded IMAX ratio. All other releases worldwide are flat.

The first film was incredible in 3D, so it looks like we are in for yet another visual treat in 3D.
So far, the release date is May 6 2022. Hopefully this doesn’t get delayed again.

New teaser trailer is now out and you can watch it here:

And you can check out the new trailer here (If you don't wanna be spoiled, I suggest you don't watch this trailer):

Fingers crossed this is the movie that brings IMAX 3D back to the US.

Supposedly Spiderman: NWH is the one to do that already. Sadly, none around me.

Where? I scoured the country and haven’t found a single IMAX 3D showtime for Spider-Man No Way Home. Canada’s IMAX theaters are 2D-only as well.

I really hope MovieNEX 3D is still a thing for Marvel movies by next June. Nobody ever warned me as a kid that one of the downsides to getting older would be 3D movies increasingly not coming out on 3D bluray!

Teaser trailer is OUT! This is the same teaser trailer that came up as a part of the post-credits stuff for "Spider-Man: No Way Home".

Interesting trailer. I think it's good they're holding Doctor Strange
[Show spoiler]accountable for his actions in No Way Home.

I have to remember that originally in Doctor Strange 3D, he started off as an arrogant Surgeon, and then learned humility through his lessons to become a magician. So in other words, he's still learning and still
[Show spoiler]capable of mistakes.

I hope the 3D is on par or stronger than the first 3D Doctor Strange.

There are some surprises in this trailer, so if you wanna find out, you can watch the trailer, but if you don't wanna get spoiled, you can choose to not watch this trailer and wait till you go to the cinemas and watch the film.

New trailer is out and this is mind-blowing! Sam Raimi is back as director for this one and this should look fantastic in 3D! Can't wait!

This is the Indian poster, it will be released in standard 3D and IMAX 3D in India.

Ehhh, I'm leery over a Doctor Strange movie that seems like it will be more of a "backdoor pilot" for other, nu MCU characters.

On that, I have heard that Spiderman3 had its issues because Sony insisted on cramming in so many new characters to try and "backdoor pilot" a cinematic universe. However, Spiderman NWH was also overloaded with characters yet made it work. How does that get reconciled?

On a side note, why is Doctor Strange one of the most expensive/rarest of the MCU 3D blu?

RitwikKN2002, when’s the last time India had an IMAX 3D release?

This will be a must have in 3D and if Marvel Japan can come through at least one more time for us I will happily throw my eighty bucks at them.

Rather than hope for at least just one more 3D Blu Ray let's all hope for every future MCU movie getting a 3D Blu Ray in Japan.

I really would want this film to get a blu ray 3D release over in Japan, not just this film but also Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as well.

And I strongly doubt that this film could get the VAR on the 3D disc as it’s shot with IMAX-certified cameras as well, it’s really unlikely.

Personally I hope that Marvel resume releasing 3D Blu-rays in Europe, these Japan-only releases are OK but Marvel's obsession with including foreign language scenes in every film makes them less than ideal.

Given how much of a difference 3D made to the first film, I would hope Marvel must know how disappointingly inferior the sequel will look in 2D only. Actually, I'm sure they know. The tragedy is that they don't seem to care.
