Music Direct, the company which owns Mobile Fidelity, have just added all six titles to their website for pre-order, with a date of "TBA":

Van Halen

Van Halen II

Women and Children First

Fair Warning

Diver Down

1984

As usual, it's not clear exactly when these will be released. MoFi are also doing their Limited Edition UltraDisc One-Step 45rpm Vinyl 2LP Box Sets for all six albums, too, and it seems the SACDs may not be out until after the LPs.

I love Van Halen. I have the first 6 on CD and also vinyl. But I can’t see myself buying this again. But for someone that doesn’t have them this is great

Wow, going with 45rpm One Steps eh? Hmm...might have to go that route for 1984 and SACD for the others.

Blasphemy.

Hear About It Later and Push Comes to Shove are just beautiful.

Isn't it weird how most bands have that dark weird offbeat album that stands alone.

The Elder, Powerage, Night in the Ruts, Presence, Animals etc...

Fair Warning is easily the best with DLR after the first two. Diver Down on the other hand is riddled with filler and should have been an EP with 7 or 8 tracks.

Does anyone know if Music Direct charges your card when the order is placed or when the item(s) are shipped?

Love that run - those records are loaded with memories. First one came out when I was in 8th grade; the last one during my second year of college. Saw them on the Fair Warning tour. Good times.

Intruder leading into Pretty Woman will be worth it to me for Diver Down. Loudly!

To my knowledge, Mobile Fidelity has never done a Blu-ray release of any kind.

Ill still get it. Just wonder if SACD is really an advantage over bluray audio.

Judging from preorders I have placed in the past these should ship in 2098.

I know off topic but thinking of that Jimi Hendrix, bluray akways gets the shaft. All extras could easily fit and the same applies to many of these high res audios.

Heck using 4K storage conditions having all 6 albums in high rez on one disc I am sure is way within reach.

If their SACDs didn't sell, they'd consider another format. Clearly the format works for MOFI and it seems lots of audiophiles like SACD for digital playback.

BD audio kinda got the short shrift because too many of the early ones had disgusting brickwalled mastering and turned a lot of audiophiles off the format before it even got a chance to take off. Then again, SACD does have the convenience of also functioning as a high-end redbook CD, most people don't have a BD player in their vehicle or garage or whatever.
