Default Sam's Club ; No HD-DVD

Prolly not a big deal but just figured I'd say it, went to Sam's Club over here and they had a ok selection of blu-ray, but, had NO HD-DVD, and this is not because they never carried them, I know they did/do ... might be signs to come that they may stop carrying them, that or they pushed their inventory onto wal-mart to try and clear up inventory ...

Just figured I'd say...

The store near my house has 2 HD-DVD titles:

Shrek the Third
&
Transformers

However, they did have a decent selection of blu to choose from.

That is because those are the only 2 titles that made HD-DVD any money, lol.

That’s odd. Sam’s has always been Blu-ray exclusive.

I’m fairly sure that there was an announcement a year or more back.

Maybe it was just rumblings.

No, my Sam's (Elmsford, NY) was actually HD-DVD exclusive, until a few months ago when they all of a sudden went Blu exclusive with the Sony S301 player release. One day I came in and the HD-DVD setup had been changed to Blu-Ray and the DUD players were gone, though a smattering of HD-DVD discs still remain mixed in with the BD's

I have only seen Blu at my local Sam's, never had red AFAIK. However to my dismay when I was there yesterday, the BDs selections were down to a few which were mostly the Harry Potter series, Rata (rat chef), and maybe a couple more titles that are older releasers Hopefully they are gearing up to stock the new BD releases coming up next month and on into spring

The Sams club I frequent has been red exclusive since the launch of the Tosh A1. In fact they still had that same A1 on display with 3-4 titles just a few weeks ago. At this point they won't be able to give that A1 away.
