I've been hearing about subtitle issues for the BR version for everything regarding alien language. Is there are way to have them appear without having to look at a subtitled version of the film? Workarounds anyone?

Go to subtitle 3 and it will ONLY subtitle the foreign languages and alien languages and not subtitle the english.

What do you guys mean about alien language? I have seen the DVD movie, but have yet to see the blu version. I own it though. What's the differences between the two?

I think they mean the Ancient Egyptian. The Extended cut on blu has a few extensions to scenes. Like a little background on what fears there were for o'neal to have his mission. If you got it on psp thats what you saw.

Hmm...well I just bought it yesterday so I'll open it and check it out. If it's not there I'll just exchange it for another one. Was there a UPC change on the package?

Slightly off topic, but does anyone else find this disc really grainy?

Really? Interesting.
I just watched my copy and the subtitles are there. People may be thrown off because it only shows up when there is a conversation or words that can't be understood by gestures. When the guards say something and gesture for Daniel to stand in a certain spot don't need subtitles. But the conversation between Ra and Daniel require them because that convo is essential to the plot. |

it's just the nature of the beast with that movie. believe it or not, i also have the movie on vhs, and even the grainy portions of the movie look better than the same sections on vhs. still grainy, but that's the way the movie was made
