knowing how they handled 5, I’ll either buy the base game only and to hell to every DLC, or buy the game when 7 is announced

depends on how much I want to play it comes release day, unfortunately I don’t have a lot if time to learn these games nowadays

Nope. After the way Capcom handled 5 they can **** off! I used to love Street Fighter along with many other fighting games but I cannot stand the live service model that so many of them have adopted! So much so I dont even bother with the genre anymore. Capcom had no business charging full price for 5 with the way they put so much of its content behind a paywall or so out of reach to unlock in-game for casual players like me.

I think I read somewhere that it was expected to be fully multiplatform this time.

Interesting they're going with a Street Fighter 6. I'll be interested to see if they have some new ideas or if it's just mostly new characters and backgrounds.

Would be amazing if they went back to the Sprite style of SF2.

Street Fighter 2 is still the best game out of all of them IMO.

But yeah, I remember the last one started off as an online game, and if you wanted to play single player, you had to jump through a bunch of hoops and wait for them to add single player download features. Bad choice Capcom, as I avoided that game like the plague.

So much this.

I can't get used to the character designs and the graphics style that have been de rigueur since SFIV.

Thanks. I play mostly the classic sprite based SF games in my collection and avoid the newest ones with the polygon graphics.

If anything, sprite games have made a big comeback, and that's where most of Street Fighter's success has been in the minds of millions of fans. Capcom should try the old sprite art style again.

Isn't it time for a new Vampire/Darkstalkers game instead?

It looks interesting, though it appears to be an online only city, like how they made NBA 2K21's city, which is online only for the purpose of live human matches and micro sales. Plus considering how they handled SF5, which seemed to be online focused also, with barebones single player offline modes.

The only Street Fighter I ever got into was way back in the early 1990s with part II. I loved that one, the World Champion Edition, that I want to some day own the arcade version for my next man cave, which will be arcade and pinball heaven. But that's a some day thing.

I was also into the Street Fighter II Anime movie and Street Fighter II V TV series.

xbox version is supposed to be coming at a later date. I am sure I'll end up buying both, because I only have like 40 versions of Street Fighter.

These new characters are so uninteresting. Yeah, if they play well that’s good but I’d kind of like a character that actually looks distinctive and appealing as well. Capcom hasn’t delivered since before SFIII. Again, those games play great but the characters are mostly unappealing.

Sprites are more expensive to create I'd imagine which probably limits the roster of characters they could use.

SF III really did feel like the last time Capcom was really ambitious with the franchise to me and I still think its the high point in terms of design work.

I'm not feeling the style. It seemed the past couple of games they were trying hard to bring the Udon art style to screen and I was okay with that. If I didn't know it was SF6 I would think this is a Virtua Fighter game. That not a bad thing as I love VF but this just doesn't look SF to me.
