Disney Thor : Love and Thunder 3D Blu-ray (2022) [Region Free] READ FIRST POST

Thor : Love and Thunder was only released on 3D Blu-ray in Japan and only in in a 2D+3D+4K combo pack. The discs are REGION FREE and include English audio but do not feature the expanded IMAX ratio. All other releases worldwide are 2D only and also do not feature the expanded IMAX ratio.

Deci note: Apparently this has been rescinded at the moment (Nov 2023) :

Please note that if you are in the US Amazon Japan will not currently ship this to your location so you'll have to buy it elsewhere or use a reshipper.

Doesn't seem to be a thread for the 3D release of Thor 4...

Keeping the Indian languages aside, Thor: Love and Thunder will be releasing on July 8 worldwide in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, 4DX 3D and other 3D formats.

This being an early trailer, still a lot more to be revealed in a main trailer like the villain, and more about how Jane (Natalie Portman) becomes a Mighty Thor.

Christian Bale slated as the villain.

Here's hoping the 3D is the same strong standard as the prior Thor Ragnarok.

Expect the same deal as Doctor Strange in the multiverse... showtimes, 1 early show 1 prime time show in 3D, at least one of those on a premium screen and minimum 1-2 weeks run.

Ragnarock in 3D was godly. This is a theater watch for sure.

It looked alright, the trailer, though the seeing Tessa Thompson doing her best impression of Zendaya and Old Lady Thorina were rough patches.

I'm not sure about the comedy, I think the record is pretty clear that Chris Hemsworth works a lot better as a straight man.

Tentatively, this would have to be like Ant-Man and the WASP to get me to see it, anything less and Jurassic World 3 will fill my "quota" of 3D Crisp Ratt movies for the summer.

Looking forward to this, I've enjoyed every Thor movie and The Dark World is one of my favourite MCU entries.

Please give us a 3D blu ray!

They best release this on 3D Bluray as well. They stiffed us on No Way Home on 3D Bluray, threw Eternals and Black Widow in our faces...agh....and after all that, they better not keep this one from us on 3D Bluray.

I'm so grateful for the return of IMAX 3D over here. Hope it keeps going even if it's just for opening weekend. Better than nothing!

I wonder about this film, as Disney has been doing "outrage marketing" for years now but then has reneged and not put that same level of outrageousness into their films. The cycle seems to be "outrage marketing->announce bevy of last-second reshoots->release milquetoast movie"

Maybe they'll go all in now that they're being boycotted by China and are boycotting that other Red, White, and Blue nation that is nowadays the Voldemort of countries?

Taika has been a total troll about this film on Twitter, but then his Thor Ragnarok was not as outrageous as he had signaled, and his actual role in Free Guy was on the level. Much to my surprise, the one heinous line in the film was not said by Taika.

Perhaps it will subvert expectations in a positive way, something like Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson bungle it bigly and that causes Thor to finally embrace his destiny instead of doing the galactic equivalent of backpacking across Asia? In other words, something more along the lines of Fury Road?

There's talk that an internal Marvel screening led to standing ovations. In the past that would be good news but now ??? The most concerning rumour is from a reliable source (he's not a movie gossip so he rarely throws stuff out there) that it might P a lot of people off. But even he says that until something more concrete comes out let's just wait and see.

It's now safe to assume that Thor 4 will play in IMAX 3D. With Black Panther 2 on the table on the table too.
