Default ESPN the Magazine loves Blu!

For those of you that have subscriptions or have read ESPN the magazine know that the very last page is usually some sort of photoshopped image spoofing or mocking a current sports event. In the current issue (The Special Fans Edition) on the last page is made up DVD cover titled "the Road Warrior" with Eli Manning's face where Mel Gibsons was. The reason I am posting this here is on top of the case in between the Special Edition there is a Big Blu Ray Disc Logo.

Is that not mainstream or what?

I just got the latest issue in the mail a few minutes ago and looked at that page as well. That Blu-ray logo is unmistakable. Pretty cool indeed. That stupid grin on Eli's face though is another story.

ABC owns 80% of ESPN and ABC is a subsidiary of Disney so it is likely they will advertise Blu-ray. This is good to see out in the mainstream sports magazine

Whomever owns what it doesn't matter. Still great to see blu in the print media even if it's a spoof.

Yep. That's also why there's an ESPN Sports Bar in Disney World.
