One of the all-time great villains. He does so much with so little. Just the stare when he kills Conan's mother is chilling.

Im so glad i got this steel while back, Its so beautiful!

Happy 40th conan! Hopefully we get 4K at somepoint and would like the sequel aswell to get the same treatment.

I always remember liking this movie as a kid watching it in the 1990s. This was playing maybe too much as kid but goddamnit it was probably one of the best things that ws playing on overkill. That music always stuck w/ me. Great direction and cast.

Oddly enough, I "finally" got to watching the Mamoa film. It's on HBO Max, I casually wondered what it was really like. Trailers never did it for me. While edging closer to what Conan is at times it is also a very boring movie. That's a boring script w/ that dialogue. It never really feels like Conan, while the 1982 has that wild nature to it almost that is more Conan. The 2011 film feels like a generic TV thing of that time w/ a bit of money to it.

I love the stories. Great pulp stuff, objectively speaking. Howard was a crazy bastard w/ that imagination. Really amazing world and the glimpses of it that we get from him.

Which is strange, because the 2011 remake version did get a 4K release back in 2017.

Unless the source audio and negatives are gone .. i cant understand it either. Fantastic cinematography and unbelievable soundtrack.
