New upcoming movie - Wanted - Blu-ray Forum

There was a commercial for a new movie during the super bowl.... can't remember the name, it was a one word title, and it was action/Matrix looking deal..... It didn't have Adam Sandler in it!!! What is the name of this movie? Looks to be a sure fire "wow" in HD.

Probably referring to Wanted. There's a lot of info available on it over at www.worstpreviews.com , looks like it's going to be pretty good.

If it had Hayden Christiansen and Samuel L. Jackson then it was Jumper, from 20th Century Fox.

Yeah, Wanted looks amazing. I am really looking forward to this in the theatres. Hopefully Universal is Blu by the time this movie hits DVD and Hi-Def.

I think "Wanted" looks pretty cool too. However, I might have a hard time with it given the main actor's most known to me as playing a faun in "The Lion, the Witch, and he Wardrobe."

Unfortunately Wanted seems like it has a predictable ending, based on what we see on the trailer. On the other hand, Jumper didn't and the premise is very interesting. We'll see. Jumper is coming out soon.

How many people have either seen the trailer or Superbowl ad for this movie? Looks like the secret great movie of the summer. Here is the plot.

Plot Summary: Based upon Mark Millar's explosive graphic novel series and helmed by stunning visualist director Timur Bekmambetov--creator of the most successful Russian film franchise in history, the Night Watch series--Wanted tells the tale of one apathetic nobody's transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. In 2008, the world will be introduced to a hero for a new generation: Wesley Gibson.

25-year-old Wes (James McAvoy) was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known. His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend ignored him routinely and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this disengaged slacker would amount to nothing. There was little else for Wes to do but wile away the days and die in his slow, clock-punching rut.

Until he met a woman named Fox (Angelina Jolie).

After his estranged father is murdered, the deadly sexy Fox recruits Wes into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his dad's death by unlocking his dormant powers. As she teaches him how to develop lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, Wes discovers this team lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: carry out the death orders given by fate itself.

Unfortunatly it is Universal, but it comes out June 27th which slates it to a mid to late November release. Blu has the possibility to end this by then, but Universal, Weinstein, and Paramount could be stubbourn for a while
