Default Blu-ray rebate program updates

Now that the last 5 Free Blu-Ray discs promotion has ended on January 31, 2008, what's the next promotion??

It took 5 days last time to reshape the Summer promo that ended 9/30/07 into the Winter promo that started 10/5/07 and ended 1/31/08.

Anyone have any info?

Maybe there won't be any for a while because I think that the blu-ray is going to win now with or without any huge promotions. So companies may just start to save up some money (good for them but bad for us).

Disclaimer: This is totally my opinion.

Something will be offered just because the biggest competitor is SD DVD, they will use another promotion to get people to adapt Blu quicker.

Something must be coming. This is the quite time of the year at retail and sales, prior Spring so they have to do something to keep the sales going.

I agree with this -- which is why i posted the question. You would think they'll keep the momentum going.

The best deal I've found out there is 10 free discs with a BDP-300 at Wal*m*rt.com for <$350.00 Of course, with the rebate now over, it's technically 5 free discs.

I agree.
Give them a movie or 2 for buying a Blu-ray player.
Waiting 8-14 weeks is too long.

The BDP-S300 comes with Spiderman but I think it would be better if they just allowed the consumer to pick 1 or 2 Blu-ray movies of their choice when purchasing a Blu-ray player and then include a Top Tier PQ movie included in the box.
This gives them one good reference PQ movie, 1 or 2 movies they selected on their own and instant gratifcation.

Toshiba had a great idea including 2 movies in the player box but the movies aren't the best PQ or reference material, which end up disappointing the consumer.

I'm hoping for another 5 free promo, as I'll likely get a PS3 this quarter or next to go along with my Panny BD10a
