Warner Bros Warner Home Video Blu-ray Discussion Thread

Basically for anything WB related that isn't Archive talk.

Wake me up when Risky Business and After Hours 4K's are announced.

Until then, I will keep having George over for dinner and pushing the issue why the 4K's haven't been released yet.

I love Warner but aside from new releases, there isn't a ton to talk about that isn't WB Archive is there.

There is a WHV Blu-ray thread already, but it hasn't really been updated since 2015. Maybe you can take that one over?

I know mate and it’s a travesty. May as well be a 4K at this point though.

Has to happen surely.

Redeem your codes asap as a lot of them are reportedly expiring if they're older than only a year.

I think this question belongs here.

I just got a "new" blu-ray of 10,000 B.C. from a third party Amazon seller that ships through Amazon and has near universal five-star reviews.

The blu-ray disc seems to be perfect, maybe even new, but the case is not at all like a Warner Bros blu-ray case. I don't understand it. It was wrapped in the way you'd expect a brand-new blu-ray to be wrapped, but it just does not look at all like a Warner Bros blu-ray case!

Is there some world of counterfeit "new" blu-ray sales that I don't know about? It's honestly a very sturdy case, and looks fine. I just want to avoid counterfeits in the future if there's some way to know ahead of time.

Thanks for any help you guys have for me.

I'm sure this has come up before but I searched and didn't find anything regarding a domestic release of Necronomicon (or Necronomicon:Book of the Dead) (1993) on Blu-ray or even DVD apparently. It would be great if whomever owns the rights to this nice little horror anthology would put out a release on Blu-ray that genre fans would be proud to own. Wikipedia says that the old New Line Cinema was absorbed by Warner Bros, hence my posting this here. If it belongs somewhere else feel free to move it, mods.

So warner is releasing the individual 4K steelbooks of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. That was originally part of the best buy exclusive steelbook set. Just without the outer shell of course. And I love it.

What I'm crossing my fingers for is they re-release the Harry Potter 4K steelbooks individually because that was also a steel book box set. I mean it's more possible now since they are doing it for LOTR, right? ::fingers crossed::.
