Default Todays BD purchases

I recieved Training Day, Unforgiven and a second copy of BHD by mistake...and bought Corpse Bride, The Transporter, Fantastic Four and Stir of Echos at BB after jumping through hoops to get them to match the Target 20% off all BD's prices.

Since I bought my Philips less than three weeks ago, I have bought about 30 BD's with many more to come not counting the five I already had.

Hows that for an attach rate

Will have thoughts on P/Q..A/Q soon on the latest purchases.

I could not find Ice Age or Speed anywhere...and I looked at BB,CC and Wally World.
I hope to find both of those as well as Enemy of the State this week.

I found Ice Age 2 on Best Buy. And for a while I started looking for The Wild too, as I had both releases welded in my mind. Wasn't till i got home and checked my list I realized it was on the shelves early! (The consequences of Jet Lag ). (They also had Speed btw)

Comes with a paper slip recommending to check your player's firmware to "ensure the best possible viewing experience", 1.85 1080p mpeg-2 18 Mb/s single layer, English 5.1 DTS HD MA Lossless/Subtitle, Español/François 5.1 DD/Subtitles, commentaries by director Carlos Saldanha and crew, No Time for Nuts short, Crash & Eddie stunts, multi-angle scene studies, vintage historical film clips, sound effects lab, outtake prank, artist gallery, and 2 games. I couldn't find Fantastic Four, Transporter at any of those places and I asked someone to look in the back just in case they weren't put out. Had itchy finger wanted to spend spend spend

My free copies of Gone in Sixty Seconds and The Great Raid from Panasonic arrived on Saturday, along with my copy of Reds from Amazon. I got an email that my copies of Kingdom of Heaven and Black Hawk Down shipped from Amazon, a day after Reds, so they should arrive today or tomorrow, I would assume. Last but not least, my copy of The Black Crowes - Freak 'N' Roll Into the Fog has shipped from CD Universe.

Once they are all here, this will bring my grand total of Blu-ray titles in my actual possession to 13 titles. Then, of course, there are the titles I still have on order, like One Last Thing, Superman Returns, and The Da Vinci Code.

Default Titles I received today

"Black Hawk Down" and "Kingdom of Heaven" from amazon.com with the 10 per cent discount. I am in Europe (Austria), so this was pretty fast! "KoH" played fine on the Samsung despite the warning flyer they included in the box ("Your blu-ray player may need a firmware or software upgrade")
"The Exorcism of Emily Rose" from amazon.co.uk (UK release). And it played on my Samsung imported from America! So despite the Region "B" icon on the back cover it is obviously region-free
And I do have the feeling that our camp is winning the format "war"!

Talking So many Blu-ray movies, so little time . . .

This is a big week for my movie collection.

I have these purchases on their way:

Black Hawk Down
Kingdom of Heaven
Fantastic Four
Four Brothers
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

I'm expecting from Netflix:

Firewall
Unforgiven

I also have Target and Wal-mart giftcards burning a hole in my pocket. Hmm - tomorrow is a release of Ice Age 2 and others. I think I'll use my giftcards.
