Default TV Thoughts

I did use the search feature....

I wanted to start with that because there are a lot of threads about this out there but they are outdated with all the new better TVs out there. I was considering getting a new TV and like small LCD's but prices on DLP rear projection are so low that I really want to know if the difference in picture quality is that much different. I have a westing house 37" 1080P and it does not compare to the Sony set up in my local blockbuster. I also get aggravated because I will go in a local BB or CC and they have the higher priced TVs hooked up to look better and I don't get a true image in my head on some of the tvs. Luckily I just ordered a laptop with hdmi out and blu-ray player so I can just hook it up to them in sores or at my buddies’ houses to get a better idea on performance. But any thoughts would be great! Thanks all!!

This is going in my living room... It is a smaller room, but don't plan on being in this apartment in a year from now. I just watch movies. The more blu-ray the better. I play wii from time to time but there is no high def needed there. I just want a very nice picture for my blu-rays. I want people to look at them and be like Wow. Size in not a wow I need the biggest but if it is that is not a problem either.

.... I have not calibrated yet. I will try that this week, but still would not mind picking everyones brains about everything else. Thanks
