Canadian Blu-Ray Collector Community

I think a number of us Canadians are always on the lookout for other Canadians for our questions on how to procure certain films. I think we can all agree that we're an severely under-represented part of this forum and every time we bring up cost being a barrier, our American neighbours raise their eyebrows in disbelief. The deals sub-forum is no longer the place to discuss these matters as no one wants discourse there about Canadian retail, they just want deals posted.

For context, there's a lot that goes into Canadian blu-ray importing, including the extravagant cost calculation involved in import fees, shipping costs and what other Canadians have experienced with other companies. Also, a number of studios have started to pull out of selling physical films in Canada, in addition to those few distributors having trouble procuring Canadian rights to sell their products here.

So, in addition to using blu-ray.com, we've created another community solely dedicated to Canadian collectors to discuss these things and more. We're planning on holding a few more events in the future hope to create a warm and welcoming Canadian-centric blu-ray community. This isn't an exclusive thing, we share many of the same links and information found here and elsewhere on the internet. It's just great to get a collective going so we can all be in this ship (floating or sinking) together
