I would like to see Beauty and the Beast (La belle et la bête) 1946 released on 4K. Hopefully it is still owned by Criterion. Dr. Svet Atanason's Blu-ray review.

I remember the Blu-ray having a few blemishes that can hopefully be fixed in a 4K Blu-ray.

The first time I watched this I was amazed at the Beast costume.

The Criterion has more than “a few blemishes”.

If you are regionless the BFI copy absolutely blows it out of the water.

Some of the earliest Criterions that were really old aren’t that amazing. From 2014ish onwards was when everything started getting new scans restorations and fixes for warping.

This film and Stagecoach stick out to me as some Criterions that seriously did not look great.
