Thumbs up Denon's 2023 AVR-X2800H, X3800H, X4800H & A1H

Denon and Marantz just announced their new line-up of HDMI 2.1 8K 60Hz, 4K 120Hz audio receivers and Preamp Processors.

For Denon they announced the following new AVR series:

- AVR-X2800H 7.2 Channel 95 Watts per channel $1,199

- AVR-X3800H 9.4 Channel 105 Watts per channel $1,699

- AVR-X4800H 9.4 Channel 125 Watts per channel $2,499

- A1H 15.4 Channel 150 Watts per channel $6,499

So much to discuss here with the new enhancements of more HDMI inputs and outputs and supporting HDMI 2.1 with HDCP 2.3 on most inputs and outputs along with upgrades in the amplifiers, power supplies, and the overall design changes. All of the new receivers also support Auro 3D.

Here's a quick picture of the back side of the AVR-X3800H

I suggest we start another thread for Marantz's new line of receivers and their AV 10 15.4 ch PrePro a/v processor and their multi channel amplifiers.

I am really intrigued by the four sub outs on the new models. as well as the "directional" bass feature

We're taking reservations for Denon's first allocation/shipment that is scheduled for mid December, 2022.

i have noticed that this line of avr has a particular setting for transducer crossover. does anybody know how this works specifically? how does it know that transducers are attached to it?

So, no X1800H?

I guess they've replaced the lower tier of the X series with a more varied selection of an S-series.

The upcoming S970H seems to give a lot of bang for you buck compared to the other new models.
