Default The Fifth Element - Question about remastered edition

My local PX has this title for under $20. Question is, how do I tell the difference between the original and re-mastered Blu-ray disc? The cover doesn't say anything about it being remastered.

The regular version does not say "Full 1080P"
The remasterd does.

If it still has the security stickers on it, the one at the top will say "fifth element remastered"

The re-mastered version looks amazing - the non re-mastered version does not

I had the same question, so I asked the people at HMV, so they typed it into their computer and two different copies came up, one was discontinued and the other was released later. The one I had in my hand was the newer one, so I bought it.

July 17 2007 is the release date for the one you want. Just ask them.

The remastered version also says 2007, and the first one says 2006.

The UPC code on the remastered edition is: 043396215207

That's the definitive answer.

not all of them have that label, i just got one from tower.com and it does have the dolby TrueHD 5.1 on it, but does not have the remastered label at the top, and also says "experience high definition" at the bottom, not the "full 1080p" like someone posted, but does have a gold box on the bottom of the back above the proof of purchase that says "full HD 1080", and next to it the dolby truehd badge.

so not all the remastered versions are labeled so apparently.

thanks
anthony

Score. Thanks. It's a great addition to the library and only $19.95 tax free.

I have the remastered version, but haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I have the superbit SD DVD version, and the picture quality, and DTS track are both amazing, so I can't wait to check out the BD version.
