Default Retail hearsay & speculation for a Blu victory mounts...

I went to buy The Assination of Jesse James today. Got It they only had six. One of the reps told me that they heard from a friend that works for a major motion picture company. That the war is over, Blu-Ray has won All movies that are on HD will eventually becoming Blu-Ray DVD's.

I hope its True

Most likely its just trickle down information that people in the know/related business or BD fans like us already know. It is encouraging that the word is spreading though...

Hopefully in the next few days we will know for sure.

Bill Hunt from Digital Bits said that a major annoucement from a studio is coming tonight or tomorrow. He hinted at Warner though and their planned release schedule for this year.

For the rest of us common folk, we know the war is over. Just a matter of time before Para and Uni come over. All predictions say it will happen prior the summer to prepare for the Fall selling season. Until we hear a official annoucement from a CEO or President of a company, it is just still talk.

If your going to quote people, please get it right, and not get people all excited with your Agenda. The annoucement IS from Warner. Not a hint, not from another studio, but WB.

Quote:
And speaking of Warner, be sure to check back here at The Bits late tonight or early tomorrow for a sneak peek at the studio's DVD and Blu-ray release plans for the rest of 2008.

Bill said that it was NOT anything major. He said it was something along the lines of WB or another studio announcing a lineup of titles for later in the year. I'm sure he wouldn't say that if Para or Uni were jumping. But at the very least we'll get Batman Begins and/or Matrix announcements.
