Are the Hunger Games movies in 4K worth the upgrade over BD?

You should stick to the main thread and have this one closed out; but yes, the 4K is a nice upgrade in both video and audio. The biggest complaint people have is that the 4K version of Catching Fire does not include the IMAX expanded ratio for the games like the blu-ray. The included blu-ray in the set does still include it, so you can switch to blu-ray for that if desired.

If you're looking at a good present, look into the steelbook collection if you can find it. It had artwork designed by women for each of the cases and is really nice. The backs line up and make a map as well. Far better than just the 4 movie collection.

The forum is structured around each release having their own thread (which is where you want to read and post any follow up questions). The forum also have their own reviewers (see the search window at the top)...you can search for each release and read what the BR reviewer thought of the release.
